Why a Quooker tap has become an indispensable part of the modern kitchen

Boiling water, straight from the tap – the Quooker is no longer just a gadget, but a real game changer in the modern kitchen. More and more families are opting for this smart system, which not only saves time, but is also energy efficient, stylish, and safe. Curious to know why so many people are fans? In this article, you will discover what a Quooker can do, what the advantages are, and which model suits you best.

What can a Quooker system do and how does it work?

As the inventor of the very first boiling water tap, Quooker has been at the forefront of innovation for years. The smart system consists of a compact boiler in your kitchen cabinet, connected to a Quooker tap on your countertop. Thanks to patented vacuum insulation, the water is kept at the right temperature under pressure, so you always have access to boiling water at 100 °C – without waiting or wasting water. Want even more convenience? Expand the system with the Quooker CUBE for chilled, filtered, still, and sparkling water, all from a single tap.

The advantages of a Quooker tap

  • 1. Boiling water straight from the tap

With Quooker, you always have instant access to boiling water (100°C). Ideal for coffee or tea, but also for saving time while cooking or even sterilizing baby bottles or pacifiers.
  • 2. One tap, five functions

A Quooker combines cold, hot, and boiling water. With the optional CUBE, you also have filtered and sparkling water. Other solutions on the market often offer only some of these options.
  • 3. Safe and child-friendly

A safe push-and-turn control and an insulated spout make a Quooker tap a child-friendly solution. Much safer than a traditional kettle.
  • 4. Energy and water saving

The Quooker system efficiently heats only the required amount of water, which is often more economical than a kettle, and stores it in an insulated reservoir. This limits consumption to approximately 10 watts per day.
  • 5. Beautiful design

Since the rise of open kitchens, the design of kitchen faucets has become increasingly important. Quooker therefore offers models in various styles and finishes, from chrome and stainless steel to matte black, gold, and copper.

FAQ

  • Does a Quooker consume a lot of energy?

No, if you use boiling water several times a day, you won't use more energy with a Quooker than with a kettle. Thanks to the patented vacuum insulation and thermos technology, only 10 watts of energy per day are needed to keep the water at 100°C. When you use boiling water, the reservoir immediately refills with fresh water, so you only heat up what you actually use.
  • Is a Quooker safe for children?

Yes, research shows that there are fewer cases of burns with boiling water taps than with a standard kettle. An advanced safety system ensures that a Quooker tap never automatically dispenses boiling water. You first have to press the knurled knob twice and then turn it. In addition, a Quooker tap cannot tip over, the spout is well insulated, and it does not produce a powerful jet of water, but rather fine droplets. This reduces the risk of serious burns.
  • Does a Quooker take up a lot of space under the counter?

No, the water reservoir and CUBE are so compact that there is often space left for cleaning products or waste bins under your countertop. For example, the CUBE system requires a space measuring 500 mm high, 223 mm wide, and 340 mm deep. The Quooker COMBI reservoir requires a height of 570 mm and has a diameter of 200 mm. Plus, you'll free up valuable space on your countertop, as you no longer need a kettle or sparkling water machine.
