Vintage style
A tone-on-tone color palette and a gold accent here and there. Especially shades of green such as an aging sage green or a wide range of pink tones - from nude over old rose to wine red -, in combination with, for example, a terrazzo flooring or a striking geometric tile pattern create a cozy, vintage atmosphere. Cornices, decorative light fixtures and, for example, a bathroom cabinet on metal wire legs add extra homeliness and character. Today, the tone-on-tone color palette can by the way, extend all the way to the furniture, the sink and even the shower tray, although a few neutral earth tones such as beige and taupe are often needed to keep the balance. Taps or other small elements in gold or bronze provide the luxurious finishing touch.
